      <image:title>Teaching</image:title>
<image:caption>Teaching: In addition to private lessons, Russell is currently teaching students in the Denton ISD as well as at Texas Women’s University. His approach draws on a combination of elements from teachers like George Vance, Franz Simandl, David Allen Moore, and Francois Rabbath. His teaching philosophy begins with establishing a solid foundation of posture and technique that allows bass players to quickly reach their fullest potential. From there, students quickly begin to exploit their own musical creativity and curiosity. Drawing from a wide variety of viewpoints allows each student to find unique strategies to approach and master the instrument.</image:caption>
